Here’s a real treat to make Tuesday burn! We are no strangers to Canada’s Oni. We have covered their live show (show), their newest offering of Ironshore on BlacklightMedia/MetalBladeRecords(review) and even landed on our Bestof2016 list (list). F*ING LOVE THIS BAND, if it is not obvious! Earlier today, Oni premeired their creepy video for “TheOnlyCure” featuring guest vocalist and frontman for LambofGod, RandyBlythe. The song was written by JakeOni and deals with someone getting their chest cut open (How much more Metal can you get?!?). With a “Hollywood” level of production we are taken for a wild ride as the main character is captured by a serial killer and being subsequently executed in just that manner. Definitely not for the squeamish and probably not something you want to show off to your buddies at work with your boss looking over your shoulder! After directing Oni’s first video for “EternalRecurrence”, AbrahamRoofeh returns to bring this nightmare to vivid life in all its campy and bloody glory! Metal fans and horror movie buffs will freaking love this! Check the video out below. If you are lucky enough to live in the U.K., Oni is also touring with DevilYouKnow throughout the month of January!
Industrial metal giants DOPE and Combichrist are set for the Blood, Lust, Death Tour with special guests September Mourning and Davey Suicide. With 2016 just barely behind us we are looking at the upcoming releases in 2017. Some of these albums already have specific release dates and titles and some haven’t been announced yet. These albums are not only by bands that we like but a release in which the band is reuniting or hasn’t released an album in a while, or just an album we think will have a huge impact on the band’s career. The albums that follow are in no specific order and our staff has all had input on the albums in which they think are the most anticipated of 2017.
In July, we covered Alaska for our State of the Art series, where we discovered a little gem of a band called 3 Kisses and immediately got behind them just prior to their killer release of Angels Bleed Black. Primarily known as a fun, Punk/Alt-Hard Rock band, 3 Kisses has begun a slide into the heavier side of things with this, their latest release. Shortly after our review, we were contacted by this stellar group of musicians and offered a behind-the-scenes, exclusive listen to their upcoming, 2017 album for our thoughts. Damn! Just, freakin’ damn! All stops have been pulled out with this fiery album and is assuredly the most hard hitting and passionate albums to date (they now have nine, kick-ass releases since 2004, so these are big words)! With zero throw-aways, this album rolls the dice with a new direction and proves that 3 Kisses can do anything they damned well please and do it astoundingly well. When we were preparing our list of The Most Anticipated Albums of 2017,3 Kisses simply had to be included based on what we had already heard and asked the band if we could include one of the tracks in our article, which they generously agreed to. So, without further ado, it is with great pleasure that we are able to premiere 3 Kisses“Dead Man’s Hand” off of their upcoming, 2017 album! Enjoy and just wait until you hear the rest of this album! H…O…L…Y… Cow!
I believe that I Prevail is currently one of the hardest working bands out there right now. They have constantly been out on the road promoting their new material from their debut album ‘Lifelines’. The headlining tour also features up and coming post-hardcore band Islander, a heavy metalcore band in Wage War, and pop punk band Assuming We Survive. You can see the dates below. Continue reading →
After a long, grueling path of dealing with health problems on and off the road, lead singer from Of Mice & Men has announced he is leaving the band. Some of these issues led to canceling festivals and many tour dates over the last two years. Carlile has been with the band for most of its duration since it formed in 2009. Their newest album ‘Cold World’ was released on September 2nd of 2016. The band will continue on as four members for now. You can read his statement in the picture below that was uploaded from his Twitter account. Continue reading →

Brazil’s WEAKLESS MACHINE have posted their new music video ‘Tarred With The Same Bush’ in preview of their upcoming debut album (title and release date to be determined). The video was recorded at Studio Black, filmed and edited by Orbit Global Art. After hearing this song WEAKLESS MACHINE is a band we are going to be keeping a close eye on. The band has a tremendous amount of thrash elements within their music. Vocalist Jonathan Carletti adds 2 dimensions of singing to this song. At times he has an aggressive harsh scream and then at other times he has more of a dialed back harsh yet melodic tone. The riffs throughout the track seem almost unfathomable that they are produced by one guitarist. Yet those thunderously heavy riffs are shredded by one man Fernando Cezar Junior. Every aspect of this song showcases each band members talents, and when you put them all together it creates on kick ass cohesive song. We fully expect their upcoming release to be filled with even more incredible riff filled goodness. Stay tuned as we will let you know once the album has a scheduled release date. Continue reading →
