Tampa Bay Florida Death Metal Godfathers OBITUARY have shared the official live video accompanying ‘Sentence Day‘ off the band’s self-titled full-length album. The video was filmed in stunning 4k by Magnetar Studios at several locations on the band’s headlining tour with GRUESOME earlier this year. Watch OBITUARY perform ‘Sentence Day‘ below.
The band comments on the video and song: “We are super excited to bring you guys another music video from the new album. This video was extra fun for the band as we invited James to ride along with us for a couple shows and get onstage/offstage and crowd footage then his entire crew met up with us and filmed a show with multi-camera angles. ‘Sentence Day‘ is one of our favorite songs on the album and definitely a fan favorite so we are proud to bring you guys this video. Enjoy!“
TRIVIUM has returned with a new track titled, ‘The Sin And The Sentence‘ the first new music from the group since their celebrated 2015 LP, ‘Silence In The Snow‘. TRIVIUM will return with a new album this fall, with more details to be announced in the coming weeks. Matt Heafy and co’s new single sounds heavy, furiously fast and the usual groovy that the band carries along with it as a trademark.
In the meantime, the Orlando, Florida-based band will spend this August lighting up Europe, starting tomorrow which includes appearances at such hard rock and metal festivals as Germany’s Wacken Open Air, Austria’s Jolly Roger Festival, Poland’s Woodstock Festival and more along with headline dates featuring support from Obituary and Bury Tomorrow (See attached itinerary). Experimental rock group Primus has just announced the release date and title of their upcoming album. On September 29th, ‘The Desaturating Seven’ will be unleashed to the public via ATO Records. They also released the first song off the record, which they have also been playing live this summer. “The Seven” is a groove filled monster that sounds like it belongs on any of their old school albums. Les Claypool even compares it to King Crimson‘s 1981 record ‘Disciple’. The album is based on a 1978 children’s book called “The Rainbow Goblins” written and illustrated by Italian writer Ul de Rico. It will be the band’s first record since ‘Tales From The Punchbowl’ (1995) that features Larry LaDonde and Tim “Herb” Alexander back in the band. I can’t wait to see how many more twists and turns the band takes. They also added more US tour dates in the fall set to kick off towards mid October. Be sure to pre-order the record here with several other bundle pack options as well. You can check out album artwork, the track list, and all of Primus‘ tour dates below. Continue reading

Just over a week back we lost one of 21st century’s most influential vocalists and rockers and it still feels like it was yesterday. As soon as the news came out, there was a massive out pour of grief on social media all across the world, scores of fans mourning and remembering Chester‘s legacy through his songs and pictures. I have also had some of my friends call me talk about it because we were big LINKIN PARK fans back in school, and hell, we still are. Celebrities, rockers, the entire metal community along with the hip hop fraternity expressed their sorrow and stories of love and companionship with the vocalist on social media.
