Nashville Rock N Pod Expo Will Feature Vinnie Vincent, Brian “Head” Welch & More!

The 2nd annual Rock N Pod Expo will take place on August 25th in Nashville, Tennessee at The Nashville Palace. In this modern era of music local radio stations are routinely playing the same artists over and over or only spinning those well established bands that have been dominating the airwaves for years. That’s where the podcasts come in; the majority of these podcast hosts started their show simply because they were passionate about music. These podcasts also provide a platform to promote up and coming bands. The Nashville Rock n Pod Expo will feature over 25 participating podcasts that have combined downloads exceeding ten million. The Nashville Rock n Pod Expo is like the Comic Con of podcasts and it features much more than simply the hosts of these shows, there will be a variety of jaw dropping guests who will be appearing at the event as well. Now in its second year, the Nashville Rock n Pod Expo is a one-day event that celebrates all things rock, metal and podcasting.

The special guests that will be attending the Rock N Pod Expo include Vinnie Vincent (Kiss, Vinnie Vincent Invasion), Brian “Head” Welch (Korn), Christopher Williams (Accept), Michael Vescera (Loudness), Kenny Olson (Kid Rock), Paul Taylor (Winger), Gary Corbett (Kiss, Cinderella), Sandy Gennaro (Joan Jett, Monkees), Toby Wright (Producer), and Michael Wagener (Producer). It’s not often you will find “Head” from Korn in the same room as Vinnie Vincent and Kenny Olson of Kid Rock.

Vinnie Vincent is extremely special to the event. Vinnie has just recently stepped back into the spotlight after a 20 year absence from the public eye. Vinnie will be on-hand for a signing/photo sessions with fans. He’ll also appear onstage for an in-depth discussion about the making of the 1983 Kiss album ‘Lick It Up’. Vinnie had a notable eight co-writing credits on the album. The on-stage panel will be moderated by Chris Czynszak and Aaron Camaro of the Decibel Geek Podcast who also spoke with Vinnie recently (listen to that here) and he was also one of their bucketlist guests when they originally founded the podcast which recently turned 7 years old.

Brian “Head” Welch, has now been back with Korn for 5 years after he left to form his own solo project Love & Death back in 2012. “Head” will be appearing for a signing session as well as an on-stage panel discussion to promote his new documentary ‘Loud Krazy Love,’ which chronicles his life changes during the period away from the nu-metal legends Korn. The on-stage panel will be moderated by our very own Joshua Toomey of the Talk Toomey: The Metal Nexus Podcast. This should be an exceptional panel as Toomey has recently interviewed Head (listen to that interview here), and he has a in depth understanding of the Nu-Metal genre from his passion for the genre and his time performing with fellow nu-metallers Primer 55. He is one of the most knowledgeable journalists focused primarily on nu-metal.

The Nashville Rock n Pod Expo gives you the opportunity to meet some of rock and metals biggest names as well as meeting and speaking with some of the best podcast hosts around the country. The podcasts will be recording new episodes as well as taking time out to meet guests and fans alike.
