Lo-Pan has been one of the driving forces in the Columbus music scene for some time now. That band has a unique sound that draws any and all ears toward the music they create. Each member of the band is a master at their instrument. The band welcomed guitarist Adrian Zambrano a little over a year and a half ago to the band. Today it was announce that Adrian had left the band and Lo-Pan is again looking for someone to fill the role of guitarist. Lo-Pan announced his departure via Facebook making this statement:

“Our guitarist Adrian Zambrano has decided he needs to walk away from Lo-Pan at this time to focus on some other important parts of life. We would like to emphasize that this is an amicable split and we wish him all the best. We are currently on the hunt for a new guitarist and we hope to see you all again as soon as possible. Stay tuned for announcements and new music.”

We were able to catch up with singer Jeff Martin while the band was on tour with Bongzilla and Kings Destroy at The Mothlight in Asheville, North Carolina on 3/27. Prior to the interview I spoke to Jeff about the bands popular video for the song “Chicken Itza” (see it here) where he is singing while cooking all kinds of breakfast delicacies. I was forever let down to know that Jeff didn’t cook all the items you see in the video, it was actually drummer Jesse Bartz who was the chef behind the mouth watering video. (Kudos to you Jesse) We spoke to Jeff about Adrian joining the band, the new material the band is working on and the Columbus music scene.

Make sure to keep up with Lo-Pan as they search for a new guitarist and finish their upcoming album. We wish the guys the best and we are sure they will pick a suitable replacement.
