GOJIRA Announce U.S. Headline Tour With Special Guests TORCHE & CODE ORANGE

Facebooktwittermail

French groove rockers GOJIRA seem to love the U.S. and aren’t leaving anytime soon. Already on a hike with METALLICA‘s WorldWired Tour, the band have recently released another leg of tour dates. But this time, they are on the driving seat as they set to embark on a headlining U.S. Tour with support from sunny Florida act TORCHE and CODE ORANGE, American hardcore unit from Pennsylvania. The tour is all set to take off on a high note on October 2nd at the House of Blues in Cleveland, OH before putting the brakes on in Sacramento, CA on 21st October. Artist presale tickets for the new headline dates will be available today at 2:00 PM local time, followed by a Spotify pre-sale on Wednesday, August 9th at 10:00 AM eastern time and finally a venue / promoter pre-sale which begins Thursday, August 10th at 10:00 AM local time. Tickets for all dates will go on Friday August 11th at 10:00 AM local time. For more info regarding the same, visit HERE!

GOJIRA will also make an array of U.S. festival appearances with performances set for Louder Than Life (9/30), Rock Allegiance (10/7), Houston Open Air (10/14), Aftershock (10/21) and more.  The upcoming fall dates will also include a very special one night only performance with Converge at Brooklyn, NY’s recently opened Brooklyn Steel on September 28th.

GOJIRA are relishing and riding high on the success of their recent album, 2016’s ‘Magma‘ which was released via Roadrunner Records. It also earned GOJIRA their first ever Grammy nominations for ‘Best Metal Performance’ and ‘Best Rock Album.’  GOJIRA’s crushing track “Silvera” received a nomination for ‘Best Metal Performance,’ while their ‘Magma‘ was nominated for ‘Best Rock Album’ at the awards. Having claimed it’s slot in many coveted rock and metal magazines top year end lists, including Metal Hammer‘s “Album of the Year”, while also landing  on Rolling Stone‘s “Top 20 Metal Albums of 2016,” it is clear that the new album is definitely well received by the fans. It is my favourite album from last year.

GOJIRA’s ‘Magma took the #1 spot on Billboard’s ‘Hard Rock Albums’ chart upon debut, making GOJIRA the first French band to hold the #1 spot on the chart in its nine year existence.  The release of ‘Magma marked the highest chart debuts of GOJIRA’s career landing them at #4 on Billboard’s ‘Top Rock Albums’ chart, #6 on Billboard’s ‘Tastemaker Albums’ chart and Top 25 on the ‘Billboard 200.’ Furthermore, earning them career high chart positions around the globe including Top 10’s in France, Canada, Switzerland, Austria, Finland, and Norway with Top 15 debuts in Australia and Germany.

Rattlehead

About Rattlehead

Hi, Rattlehead here. I’m from India, and I’m obsessed with metal of all sub-genres but mostly into thrash and death. I also love other genres, like jazz, funk, rock, some punk, a bit of blues, some country, but well, metal is where I feel at home. I’m always on the run discovering new music. Fanboying Megadeth since I was 13. Love to talk about metal, sports and a little bit of everything here and there. I also love dissing your god, I love food, seeing metal gigs, traveling and also a metal merch and record collector. I hope you like what I write and the music I suggest you. Please do share if you like. Cheers and stay heavy \m/
