CELLAR DARLING Unveil New Music Video “Avalanche”

Last week when we barraged CELLAR DARLING with heaps of praise on their new and debut record on our album review, little did we came to any conclusion that the Swiss trio will be unveiling another brand new music video off This Is The Sound‘. You can go and check out the review here. After having released three music videos since last year when they began recording their new album, they have dropped another beautiful music video from the first song of the album, ‘Avalanche‘ which I think is one of the most stand out tracks on this entire album. The latest single ‘Avalanche‘ promotes their highly anticipated debut album This Is The Sound, due to be released on Nuclear Blast Records in just a week from now, on June 30th 2017.

Album Cover Art

Avalanche‘ tells yet another grim abstract story, painting a picture of the end of things. amidst a perfect harmony and melody of Anna’s hurdy gurdy and her melodious voice, Merlin Sutter’s intense drumming and Ivo Henzi’s heavy riffings. In the band’s own words:

“We’d like to take you on another journey into a picturesque, abstract world. Listen to the summoners of the ‘Avalanche. A story about a cult and a freezing end to an intimate deathwish. Shot in the heat of beautiful Tenerife, an intentionally contradictory setting, this video tells you our story with symbolism and movement, contrasts & metaphors. So sit back and let your imagination run wild, enjoy!”

About Rattlehead

Hi, Rattlehead here. I'm from India, and I'm obsessed with metal of all sub-genres but mostly into thrash and death. I also love other genres, like jazz, funk, rock, some punk, a bit of blues, some country, but well, metal is where I feel at home. I'm always on the run discovering new music. Fanboying Megadeth since I was 13. Love to talk about metal, sports and a little bit of everything here and there. I also love dissing your god, I love food, seeing metal gigs, traveling and also a metal merch and record collector. I hope you like what I write and the music I suggest you. Please do share if you like. Cheers and stay heavy \m/
