BLACK COFFEE’s “I Barely Know Her” Video Delivers 70’s Nostalgia To Your Ears!

This is something straight outta the 70s. From the big hair, the fashion and their hook driven retro sound  Black Coffee is putting a retro twist on modern rock. The music is definitely a throwback to rock and roll’s most formative years, it’s just that the production is much more cleaner and the sound is substantially more heavy. The band has a sound that makes you feel like you are blowing the dust off one of your favorite vinyls.

Black Coffee formed in early 2017 after drummer Tommy McCullough introduced singer/bassist, Ehab Omran, to guitarist Justin Young. Within the first few days, these artists began songwriting and the chemistry was overwhelmingly apparent. With the release of  Black Coffee’s debut album, ‘Take One’, on April 21st, the Columbus, Ohio rockers definitely possess the sound, style, confidence and work ethic that created legends in music in the previous few decades.

METALDAYS Slovenia Featuring JUDAS PRIEST, BEHEMOTH, ACCEPT & More

Well, we before we even begin this, let’s just admit it, Europe has the best metal festivals under its belt. From what I consider three of the currently biggest metal summer festivals are in Europe, the ever glorious Wacken Open Air in Germany, Graspop Metal Meeting in Belgium and Hellfest in France. And, not just that every or the other country in Europe has some festival going on, you just name it and it’s there. Be it Czech Republic’s Brutal Assault, Denmark’s Copenhell, Spain’s Resurrection Fest, Rock Am Ring in Germany, Download and Bloodstock at metal’s home, England. It’s a fun and metal galore. If you have the time and money you are just blinded and caught in a dilemma as to which metal fest you’d wanna attend. Every year European metal festivals deliver, and it’s not just about the music and the incredible line-up, it’s also about the fun activities that go with it. Be it wrestling, mud fight, karaoke, football, just about everything under this goddamn sky.

Today, we throw some much deserved limelight to one of the biggest and most exciting metal festival in Central Europe and quite possibly in the whole of the continent. From the Balkan peninsula, Slovenia’s biggest metal festival MetalDays is what we’re going to talk about today. MetalDays undoubtedly is one of the most fun filled and exciting metal festival, from exciting line-ups to sun bathing at the beach nearby, to the serene and marvellous landscape, the festival is a perfect getaway for the summer. And, unlike most of the fests, which are during the weekend and with a maximum duration of three days, MetalDays beats them all and promises to give you the best vacation with a whole week of fun and frolic. Hell! if you add the pre-arrival it’s almost a two week metal extravaganza. The festivities commence from 22nd July up until the 28th.

Deutschland’s one of the best power metal exports, POWERWOLF will be coming out with an all cover album, featuring some very big and modern artists in the metal scene. The cover album features many POWERWOLF hit tracks covered by international stars within the metal sphere, such as, EPICA, BATTLEBEAST, HEAVEN SHALL BURN, AMARANTHE, CADAVAR, KALIBAN and many more. It is interesting to note that all the bands featured on this cover album are modern and young, which will really cater to a large mass of modern metalheads. Or if you’re someone who knows how to chill and not cause rift creating stuff like old school and new age, it should cater to you as well. Also, not to forget most of the bands on this album are led by, OR constitute female singers, which is yet another achievement in its own. Bands like EPICA, BATTLEBEAST, AMARANTHE and ELUVEITIE, have been the example setters when it comes to women in metal. And I think POWERWOLF has done a great job in putting forward and carrying on the female power in metal.

Also, this cover album, ‘Communio Lupatum’ will be a part of the all new upcoming POWERWOLF studio record titled, ‘The Sacrament Of Sin‘. ‘Communio Lupatum’ will be a part of the special edition of the brand new LP, which also contains a 3-CD earbook edition with studio album, and an orchestral album!
