About Rattlehead

Hi, Rattlehead here. I'm from India, and I'm obsessed with metal of all sub-genres but mostly into thrash and death. I also love other genres, like jazz, funk, rock, some punk, a bit of blues, some country, but well, metal is where I feel at home. I'm always on the run discovering new music. Fanboying Megadeth since I was 13. Love to talk about metal, sports and a little bit of everything here and there. I also love dissing your god, I love food, seeing metal gigs, traveling and also a metal merch and record collector. I hope you like what I write and the music I suggest you. Please do share if you like. Cheers and stay heavy \m/

The live album will contain 22 tracks, encompassing timeless hits like ‘The Bard’s Song (In The Forest), ‘Valhalla and Mirror Mirror, to rather rarely performed songs like ‘And There Was Silence. CANNABIS CORPSE Announce New Album & Premiere New Song “Chronic Breed”

Stoners and death metallers from Richmond, VA, CANNABIS CORPSE have made it official that they are soon going to release their fourth full length studio effort this year in the month of September, on 8th Friday, out via Season Of Mist. The album is funnily named ‘Left Hand Pass‘ as a pun after ENTOMBED‘s ground breaking debut album ‘Left Hand Path‘. CANNABIS CORPSE have always made funny parodic album names or song names, which I think is pretty hysterical and is an unique knack that lands them the special place in their fans’ hearts. The group formed just over a decade ago and features members from crossover thrashers, MUNICIPAL WASTE and fellow death metal comrades SIX FEET UNDER, are back again to stir shit up and impale you with another round of weed induced bone rattling death metal high, courtesy of their new single, ‘Chronic Breed‘(see video below). The new track sounds like a monster. Take a blunt, get yourself some dab rigs cheap, however you like to get your high, sit back and listen to some brutal death metal sonic monstrosity! GRAND MAGUS To Embark On European Headline Tour This Autumn

Stockholm based Swedish heavy metal/stoner metal trio GRAND MAGUS will be out touring in support of their latest album, ‘Sword Songs‘ which was just released over a year ago via Nuclear Blast on the May 13th, 2016. Taking the classic heavy metal sound and throwing in some doom/stoner metal and power metal, GRAND MAGUS has been doing pretty good, as it is evident on their latest studio album. It has been received well by the critics and also saw it feature on many year end list for best albums last year. The band have been touring ever since they let their album out of the barn. They let the audience have the first glimpse of their new songs live when they joined forces with AMON AMARTH and TESTAMENT on the fomer’s ‘Jomsviking European Tour’ which was one hell of an extensive touring they went through last winter in Europe. New DECAPITATED Music Video “Earth Scar” Is Insanely Heavy & Groovy!

Polish death metallers DECAPITATED are very well known in the death metal circuit and have raised hell where ever they have set their blasphemous foots on. With the seventh album, ‘Anticult‘ lurking just around the corner, to be released on Nuclear Blast Records on July 7th this year, the heavy weights have released yet another follow up official music video to ‘Never‘, from their upcoming album, which is ‘Earth Scar‘. With the release of their last record just over three years ago, ‘Blood Mantra‘, which was an intense hit, it is evident that DECAPITATED are on top of their game now. The two already released singles sound crushing and groove oriented as hell, I am already rooting in for this album. How about you ? Continue reading

CELLAR DARLING Unveil New Music Video “Avalanche”

Last week when we barraged CELLAR DARLING with heaps of praise on their new and debut record on our album review, little did we came to any conclusion that the Swiss trio will be unveiling another brand new music video off This Is The Sound‘. You can go and check out the review here. After having released three music videos since last year when they began recording their new album, they have dropped another beautiful music video from the first song of the album, ‘Avalanche‘ which I think is one of the most stand out tracks on this entire album. The latest single ‘Avalanche‘ promotes their highly anticipated debut album This Is The Sound, due to be released on Nuclear Blast Records in just a week from now, on June 30th 2017. KADAVAR Announce Details For Upcoming Studio Album ‘Rough Times’

KADAVAR, pretty much a new force on the psychedelic rock and stoner rock block, from Berlin, Deutschland have returned again with a new album in quick succession after their previous album, ‘Berlin‘ released in 2015, which also happens to be the their sophomore album under Nuclear Blast RecordsKADAVAR have announced the details for their upcoming fourth studio album, ‘Rough Times. The album will be released on September 29th via Nuclear Blast

Commented drummer TigerThe process of making this record was quite intense. I kind of went through my inner hell. Working all day, you’re fine but at night all these things were torturing me. The new songs are crazy and absurd sometimes, but also serious and very personal. It’s the ambiguity that holds ‘Rough Times‘ together. Every song evolved from a certain strong feeling. A PERFECT CIRCLE Unveil North American Fall Tour Dates

LA rock supergroup, A PERFECT CIRCLE formed in 1999 by guitarist Billy Howerdel and Tool vocalist Maynard James Keenan have been touring, even though it’s been well over a decade since their last studio album in 2004. Which has kinda left them pretty active and not just another dead beat band. So, A PERFECT CIRCLE, who recently wrapped up a sold out U.S. tour, return to the road this fall, kicking off a North American trek at the Aftershock festival in Sacramento on Oct. 21. It shrouds several N. American cities over from late October to early December.

The band’s spring outing, their first U.S. tour in six years, began with a three-night stand at The Pearl in Las Vegas. “It was as if they never left, both in terms of the sharpness of their performance and the contemporary relevancy… of their catalog,” said the Las Vegas Review Journal in their review of the opening evening. As the band worked their way through the month of U.S. dates, Keenan dubbed the outing the “get to know ya/re-get to know ya” tour, a nod to the band’s hiatus and news of their forthcoming album. A PERFECT CIRCLE headlined Welcome to Rockville, Fort Rock and Carolina Rebellion before concluding the tour with an “enthralling” (Orange County Register), “rapturous” (Buzzbands) sold out, debut performance at the Hollywood Bowl. WARCHEST’s New Music Video ‘Fake Disciples’ Is A Riff Fest

Hello there rabid ass thrashers. Your thrash metal news correspondent is back today with WARCHEST, this time from the South American country of Chile. ‘Fake Disciples’ is taken from their new and latest record Downfall released via Digmetalworld Records in North America. The video is a montage of whose different scenes and takes were filmed the ‘Sobredosis 2’ Festival at Arena Recoleta on Nov 26, 2016 in Santiago, Chile. Sounding very true to the old school thrash roots and breathing some new wave thrash in it they are a perfect amalgamation of the old school and new age thrash metal. The riffs are pretty fast and aggressive. Mix some rash and pissed off vocals, and incredibly fast drumming and some tasty grooves you get WARCHEST. If you’re fans of old schoolers like Exodus or Death Angel or modern day thrashers Havok, you’d definitely dig this track. Speed, aggression and everything vile, this band has it all. I just stumbled upon them recently and all I can say is the black hole of thrash has pulled me in again. WARCHEST is surely one to keep an eye out for.  Continue reading
