Australia’s one of the biggest exports in the extreme metal genre, NE OBLIVISCARIS just released their first official music video off the upcoming album, ‘Urn’ for the track ‘Intra Venus‘, and it sounds beautiful yet ghastly. This new album is a follow up to 2014’s ‘Citadel‘ which in my opinion is a great album and worth mentioning if you want delve into progressive death metal. Prior to this, yesterday the band posted an update on their official Facebook page stating,

A new chapter begins…
QUIET RIOT continues their historic journey in 2017 with their new album,”Road Rage“. Led by drummer Frankie Banali, who is joined by veteran bassist Chuck Wright (who has been in and out of the band since 1982), guitarist Alex Grossi (who has been in the band since 2004), and new vocalist James Durbin, who also happens to be from the 2011 season of American Idol who made news singing hits like “Living After Midnight” and “Breaking The Law” of JUDAS PRIEST. The band continues to be an unstoppable force in the rock ‘n roll world. “Road Rage“ is set for release August 4, 2017 via Frontiers Music Srl.
MOTÖRHEAD had a special knack for covering songs of their favourite artists and giving it a pure rock and roll and classic heavy metal touch to it. Every album had one song or the other which Lemmy and co. liked to morph it to their own taste and it would undoubtedly make an excellent rendition of the original song. Hell, sometimes even better than the original. Be it the legendary British punk rock SEX PISTOL‘s ‘God Save The Queen‘ or The Rolling Stones‘ ‘Sympathy For The Devil‘ or even ‘Whiplash‘ by METALLICA, the band who themselves cite MOTÖRHEAD as their probably biggest inspiration to whatever they’re doing today. MOTÖRHEAD have never failed to take us by storm with their good old fashioned rock and roll twist of their covers.
Get ready to get have a hammered smashed face soon this fall in the months of November and December as the lads from Buffalo, New York, CANNIBAL CORPSE just announced a massive month long tour with young guns, Texas thrashers POWER TRIP whose latest album ‘Nightmare Logic‘ has been out to some widespread positive reviews and new death metallers on the block, GATECREEPER. Also along with the tour dates, the band just revealed the new album will be out this fall. They will be supporting their untitled(as of yet) 14th studio album on this tour. This will be CANNIBAL CORPSE‘s follow up to their 2014’s ‘Skeletal Domain‘, released via Metal Blade Records which charted at an impressive #32 on Billboard’s Top 200 chart (the highest chart position in their storied career!). The band’s new album – which was recorded at MANA Recording Studios with producer/engineer Erik Rutan (CANNIBAL CORPSE, SOILENT GREEN, BELPHEGOR, HATE ETERNAL) – promises to be another aggressive, powerful record in their catalog, that will surely make history once again.

It has been one full day since the LINKIN PARK front man Chester Bennington has left scores of fans all across the globe spanning oceans and continents weeping at the horrific news of his suicide by hanging. On Thursday morning, the singer’s body was found hanged from a belt on a bedroom door inside the house in the 2800 block of Via Victoria, in Palos Verdes. The L.A. county coroner examined the scene and confirmed the news of the same. Bennigton suffered from depression and substance abuse since a long time. He had said in the past he had considered committing suicide because he had been abused as a child by an older male. The death of Chris Cornell who also bid us the same way as Chester did was said to have impacted him a lot, they were good buddies and Chester also sang at his funeral.
Ed Winter, the L.A. county medical examiner coroner confirmed the hanging on Friday and also said there was not a suicide note found in the scene. The autopsy is said to be pending and the toxicology reports are yet to be carried out.

Metal and mainstream media don’t really have a good relationship do they? Well, I mean metal has featured a lot of time in the mainstream media, but we still don’t make the cut on the first priority. Among the media, the late night shows have been helping the sheeple get some dose of the unholy stuff. Today we bring to you that the two-time Grammy-winning thrash/metal legend SLAYER will make its 11:35PM late-night television debut on Thursday, July 27 when the band performs its iconic “Raining Blood” on “The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon.” The show airs at 11:35PM ET/PT and 10:35PM CT on NBC. “The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon” has previously had many a metal and rock bands play, whether be it METALLICA rocking out with Jimmy involving an all kids instruments song, or BODY COUNT killing it with their groovy beats, or be it the metal gods, JUDAS PRIEST bringing the old school vibe to the late night show. This time though, its your own “SLAYAAAA..” as they plan to annihilate the show with their bloody song “Raining Blood“.
Sahil ‘Demonstealer’ Makhija
I recently caught up with Sahil Makhija at AntiSocial, New Delhi, India, also known better as DEMONSTEALER who is the front man of the blackened death metal band from the sea side city, Mumbai in India, DEMONIC RESURRECTION. If you have not heard DEMONIC RESURRECTION yet, you’re clearly blaspheming ! Just kidding, you’re missing out on a lot though to be honest. So the band has been around for a good number of years now, starting out as teenagers back in the day in the year 2000, and they have since then put up a decent catalog of five albums and two EPs all this while, which is incredible in itself. They have really pinned India on the global metal map and are rightly called the ‘flag bearers of Indian metal’. They have also done shows in reputed European festivals like Wacken Open Air in Germany, Bloodstock Festival in the U.K., and the beautiful MetalDays festival in Slovenia etc. They also have a Metal Hammer Golden God award under their belt. It all began with their debut album titled, ‘Demonstealer’ in 2000 and since then you can actually see they have not only been a dynamic outfit but also a reckoning force in the underground scene and also in the domestic scene in India.
Chester Performing For The Final TIme With LINKIN PARK, Barclaycard Arena, Birmingham, England.
We all are truly shocked and devastated to learn that Chester Bennington of LINKIN PARK is no longer with us. We are still reeling from the devastating event as it unfolded in the last 12 hours, it is reported to be a case of suicide by hanging by the front man of arguably 21st century one of the most influential rock bands. The singer was found dead at his private residence in Palos Verdes, California. The singer who over the past two decades has shared many accolades and gathered feathers on his cap is revered by many rock fans as one of the most noted front man in 21st rock music. With lyrics of the band’s music being a mirror image and reflection of some of Chester Bennington‘s own personal struggles and battling his inner demons, his untimely and shocking death hit all of us even harder.
California is known for punk rock/hardcore as well apart from the metal that oozes out normally. Today we bring to you an early stream or pre-release stream of Marysville poetic post hardcore band VVOMEN‘s debut EP, ‘Moving On‘ , which is slated to come out tomorrow itself on Friday the 21st.
The Sacramento quartet recently released a music video for the EP’s first single “Cadence and Carousel” which you can check it out below, a lumbering punk song complete with giant papier-mache heads. Although the band draws comparisons to Touché Amoré and La Dispute, as well as veterans like At The Drive In and Jawbreaker, their quirky, easy-going vibe creates a distinct contrast with the emotionally intensive music.
